Press fittings have changed how copper, stainless, PEX, and carbon steel pipe get joined — no torch, no threading, and a consistent connection every time. The RIDGID RP 350 is RIDGID's full-size pistol-grip press tool, built around a brushless motor rated for over 100,000 press cycles with no scheduled maintenance. This guide covers what the RP 350 presses, its key specs and features, every kit option, the jaws and batteries that go with it, and how it compares with the in-line RP 351.
What the RP 350 presses
- Copper and stainless steel — 1/2" to 4"
- Carbon steel — 1/2" to 4" (a Press Booster is needed for 2-1/2" to 4")
- PEX — 1/2" to 2"
The RP 350 is compatible with all RIDGID Standard Series press jaws, rings, actuators, and attachments, so one tool can handle multiple piping systems by switching jaws.
Key features
- Brushless motor — rated for over 100,000 press cycles.
- No scheduled maintenance — no routine service interval to plan around.
- Endless 360° swivel — rotate the head to reach tight spaces and awkward angles.
- Bluetooth and color-coded indicators — Bluetooth connectivity plus color-coded status lights for easy operation.
- LED lighting — built-in light for no- or low-light work areas.
- Full lifetime warranty — RIDGID's full lifetime warranty against material defects and workmanship.
Specifications
*Based on pressing 3/4" fittings on Type L copper. Results depend on pipe material, size, type of fitting, and other factors.
RP 350 kits
The RP 350 is available as a bare tool or in battery and corded kits, with or without ProPress jaws:
What comes in the kits. Battery kits include the press tool, battery power, a charger, and a carrying case. Corded kits include the press tool, a 120V AC power adapter, and a carrying case. Kits with jaws add ProPress jaws in the size range listed — the 1/2"–1" kits include 1/2", 3/4", and 1" jaws.
Which kit to choose: if you already own RIDGID Standard Series jaws, the tool-only or no-jaw kits save money. If you are starting fresh on copper, a ProPress jaw kit gets you working right away — the 1/2"–1" kits cover most residential work, while the 1/2"–2" kits add larger sizes. Corded kits are a good fit when you will be working near power all day.
ProPress jaws
Need a single size, a replacement, or to add sizes to a no-jaw kit? RIDGID ProPress jaws are sold individually and fit both the RP 350 and RP 351:
- 1/2" jaw (76652)
- 3/4" jaw (76657)
- 1" jaw (76662)
- 1-1/4" jaw (76667)
- 1-1/2" jaw (76672)
- 2" jaw (76677)
Batteries, chargers & power
The RP 350 runs on RIDGID's 18V Advanced Lithium batteries, or on AC power with the corded adapter. Add a spare battery to keep working while one charges, or step up to the 5.0Ah battery for longer runtime:
- 18V 5.0Ah Advanced Lithium battery (56518) — RIDGID rates it at more than 500 presses per charge on 1/2" copper, compared with more than 250 for the 2.5Ah battery.
- Battery and charger set (66003) — one 18V battery and one charger.
- Two-battery and charger set (66013) — two 18V batteries and one charger.
- 120V AC power adapter (44468) — the same adapter included in RIDGID's corded RP 350 and RP 351 kits, for running the tool on AC power.
RIDGID's 18V charger runs on 100–240V AC, has built-in LED indicators for charge status and temperature, and can charge from a vehicle with a DC charging cord.
RP 350 vs. RP 351
The RP 351 is RIDGID's first in-line Standard Series press tool. It shares the RP 350's capacity, brushless motor, 7,200 lb ram output, and features — the difference is the body. The RP 350 is a pistol-grip design at 11.3" long by 11.0" high by 3.1" wide, while the RP 351 is a longer, slimmer in-line design at 15.6" long by 4.6" high by 3.0" wide. Choose based on which grip style suits the way you work.
The RP 351 is offered in the same kit configurations:
RP 350 or a compact press tool?
The RP 350 is a full-size tool built for the full 1/2" to 4" range. If most of your work is smaller-diameter pipe and you want a lighter tool, compare it with RIDGID's compact option in our RIDGID RP 251 compact press tool guide.
Frequently asked questions
Does the RP 350 need regular service?
No. RIDGID lists no scheduled maintenance for the RP 350, and its brushless motor is rated for over 100,000 press cycles.
How many presses do I get per charge?
RIDGID rates the RP 350 at more than 325 presses per charge, based on pressing 3/4" fittings on Type L copper. Actual results depend on pipe material, size, fitting type, battery, and other factors. For longer runtime, RIDGID's 5.0Ah battery is rated at more than 500 presses per charge on 1/2" copper.
Can the RP 350 press carbon steel?
Yes — 1/2" to 4". A Press Booster is required for 2-1/2" to 4".
Can I run the RP 350 on AC power?
Yes. The 120V AC power adapter (44468) — included in the corded kits and sold separately — lets you run the tool without a battery.
What is the difference between the RP 350 and RP 351?
The body style. The RP 350 is a pistol-grip tool, and the RP 351 is an in-line tool. Both share the same capacity, motor, ram output, and Standard Series compatibility.
Will my existing RIDGID jaws work?
The RP 350 and RP 351 are compatible with all RIDGID Standard Series press jaws, rings, actuators, and attachments.
What warranty does the RP 350 have?
RIDGID's full lifetime warranty against material defects and workmanship.
